5. Install A Programmable Thermostat
A programmable thermostat is another efficient way to cut down energy usage in your home. When you’re away, set the thermostat to go lower when you are away, then your house stays warm, but you aren’t using as much power.
6. Energy Audit
Call an energy audit company to get a reading on how your home currently stands in terms of energy efficient. These auditors are equipped with specialized tools and skills that can help them to evaluate energy efficiency of your home and determine where it can be improved, usually by recommending some low cost measures.
